Taking Action
Hi Bloggers! Today I will be talking about Nelson Mandela. was an activist and civil rights leader who lived in South Africa. For many years, South Africa had different rules for people who had white skin and those who didn’t. This was called apartheid.
Nelson Mandela felt that this was very wrong. He tried to change the law but he was sent to prison. After this, he became the President of South Africa and ended apartheid.
Nelson Mandela spent 18 years in Robben Island prison. Mandela had a tiny, damp, concrete cell, with only a straw mat to sleep on. It must have been very hard. Now I will be giving some facts.
1. Nelson Mandela has 6 kids.
2. Nelson Mandela was born 18 July 1918.
3. Nelson Mandela's full name is Nelson Rolihlaha Mandela.
Those are the facts I know. Now I have to write how it will feel in prison.
The prison is gross! You can do whatever you want it dosen't have ANYTHING! It also smells Gross! The Toilets are so Yuck!! Because they are very smelly! If anyone does anything gross It will obviasly smell Disgusting! That will everyday happen to you in prison!
Thank You For Watching I hope you like my blog! Bye Bye!

Thank you for completing week two, day two, activity one. I’m sure the prison Nelson Mandela was in, was pretty gross. He was an amazing man wasn’t he!? If he was alive today, what is one question you’d ask him?
