Summer Learning Journey (Day 1 Week 2 Activity 3)

Dear Jacinda

Hello Bloggers!! Today I will be talking about Jacinda Ardern! The Prim Minister of  New Zealand. She is in the news a lot! As Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern makes lots of important decisions. She meets with people to hear their ideas and see what they think before making a decision. Now I will be giving facts about Jacinda Ardern.

1. Jacinda Ardern was born in Hamilton (New Zealand).

2. Jacinda Ardern's birthday is on 26 July 1980.

3. She has 1 baby.

Those are the facts I know. Now I have to write a letter to Jacinda and my one is

Swimming Should be free because it's a really good sport

There should be more schools because it is good for children's learning before they go Intermidiate

Walking is good so we could walk every place (Except far places)

Thank You For Watching I hope you like my blog! Bye Bye!

  1. Hi Aamena,

I really like the way that you are adding facts about each person to your blog post. You must be learning a lot this summer!

For this activity, you need to write a letter to Jacinda Ardern about a topic that is important to you, and explain what you would like her to do about it. I think that swimming is an important issue, especially in New Zealand because we are an island, which means we are surrounded by water so it's important that people who live here know how to swim.

When we write a letter, we usually start with a greeting, for example, 'Dear Prime Minister'. You can then explain why you think that swimming is an important issue, and how you would like her to help. Remember to sign off at the end, for example, 'kind regards, Aamena'.

I look forward to reading your letter soon.

    Hazel :)
